Spring Writing Idea & Empathy

Spring Writing Prompts
How long does it take to teach empathy?
How long does it take to learn to be kind?
These are obviously not a single lesson topics so I take every opportunity I can to help my kids along the journey of becoming more emphatic and aware human beings.

Some time ago I had a very simple Spring Writing Center idea which end up not only being a huge success as a writing activity but it also initiated an interesting discussion. It was just spring themed animals (+a cloud and a snowman) with thought bubbles to prompt kids use their imagination to write what the animals are thinking. Simple enough but then the questions began.

Christmas Around the World

Christmas Around the World Passport
It's the most wonderful time of the year!...
And especially if you have not so many lessons and activities to plan.

Below you can find free and paid resources and links to Christmas Around the World videos, activities, books and more.

I am doing Christmas Around the World for the first year as a homeschool mom.

Every year up to now I've only done Christmas in the English-speaking countries as an ESL teacher.

Christmas Ornaments from Fir Cones and Melted Crayons

The other day we spontaneously made our first (for this year) hand-made ornaments. My daughter found an old piece of jumbo toddle crayons and asked me if we need this anymore (she didn't like her teeth marks on it very much : ). These turned out really pretty (prettier than in the pictures). They are also a fun activity for kids. It is also very good for developing fine motor skills. And they can are a perfect hand-made gift.

Apples Sight Words

Apples Sight Words Tic-Tac-Toe and a Memory  game.

There two games are our all-time favorites. For me for they are easy to set up and I use them to teach ANYTHING. For the kids because they are both fun and not complicated. It may be grammar questions with my older kids, math facts, numbers or in this case - sight words.

Summer No Prep Pack for Kindergarten - Math, Literacy and Science Pages

Summer is nearly here and the summer holiday is almost upon us.
A lot of review is going on and we are looking for the best way to prevent the kids from the summer slide.
I've created a summer no prep pack for my students and my daughter that includes a lot of reading practice, addition and subtraction and some science pages.

Valentine's Day Ideas for Kindergarten and Pre-School

Lego Bump Games for Valentine's Day {Cherry Workshop}

I have always wondered what is it to have a boy at home for whom to prepare Valentine's Day activities. I'm lucky to have a girl so we can go pink and purple all the way :)

It turned out, however, that we don't have enough pink and purple square bricks to play with so we decided on red and white :) (still very Valentinish)
This post contains ideas as well as free and paid resources to make your Valentines Day Activities even lovelier! :)

Winter No Prep Activities for Kindergarten.

Here's a

I'm always trying to vary my the worksheets as much as possible.

Giving a spin on a familiar activity is always a plus.
For example, we may use stamps instead of dabber or simple coloring. And I was lucky to find some seasonal ones for my winter no prep printables.

In my new set of winter print and go activities I've included a lot of fun and meaningful pages to practice a wide range of ELA and Math skills.

As my daughter is learning to read at the moment and she's doing it both in English and Bulgarian (our native tongue) I made a lot of winter reading activities. It's really exciting and I'm so proud of her.

Clip Art for New Seller - a HUGE, {really Cute} Pack

I'm so excited to be finally able to post this that I have been working on for months now (in my free from work time as I have no summer holiday this year :( ).
They started as a lot of small projects. Then I remember what a lot of work it is to post one product on TpT.
Cover.
Preview.
Thumbnails.
and I always go back and change this detail, that color...and sometimes I feel like the 'packaging' takes more time than the product itself.

So to make my life a bit easier (and I hope others' lives as well) I decided to post it as just ONE huge clip art pack.

Lie these cover? Now you can create them
with this pack.
If you are starting now with your TpT experience you may be intimidated by the variety of frames, background and clip art everyone is using.

So here's a quick option for you.

The value, is these were posted separately, is about $100. So here you are, saving more than 60%(!!!)

Here's the link!
