This is a fun activity to practice blending onset and rime.
Stickers preparation
• I use stickers similar to the ones below but buy them from a cheap stationery store or whenever I see them discounted some place.
If you can’t get hold of stickers or prefer to print and kids to cut them, an editable page is included in the download.
Just click on the boxes and type in text. Use tab to move to the next easily.
• You will write the parts of the words you want kids to practice on the stickers. This may seem like a tiresome activity but it takes no more than 5 minutes.
• Cut the stickers that will have one letter on them in half.
Set up
You will need one page for a kids or a group.
Kids will make words and draw the pictures.
For some kids it may be easier to look at the words and make them.
